Services

Free Consultation

One free Meet-and-Greet to see if I am the perfect match for you! This would typically take place at local coffee shop, online

Phone & Email Support

From the time you hire me, I will be available to you 24/7 by phone, text and email.

2 Prenatal Visits

If you decide you want to hire me, we will meet one to two more times. Once at approximately 34 weeks and again at 36 weeks. This is for us to get comfortable with each other, for me to get to know your desires, concerns, fears and likes as well as your partners (I am there just as much for them as I am for you). We will go over birthing plans, positions, pain management, and any other questions you may have. If you’ve had concerns, we will discuss them. We will go over possible scenarios and what your wishes are to have happen so that you can have the best birth possible.

During labor

I am available to accompany you in labor to validate your birth experience, and honor your baby. I draw on the knowledge acquired from my Sisters in Loss birth doula ï»¿training, Stillbirth & Bereavement Doula training, and experienced mentors, to provide you with emotional support and physical comfort, as needed. I can provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, massage, positioning, and other techniques for comfort. Together, we will explore options for creating a personal birth experience that honors you and your baby. I will help you welcome your baby and assist with memory making and keepsakes as your spend precious time bonding with your child. When the time comes to say farewell, I will help to ease the transition by connecting you with support and resources for the next step of your parenthood journey.

As a Doula, I  Do Not:

Perform any clinical tasks

Doulas do not replace nurses or other medical staff. Doulas do not perform clinical or medical tasks such as taking blood pressure or temperature, monitoring fetal heart rate, doing vaginal examinations or providing postpartum clinical care. They are there to comfort and support the mother and to enhance communication between the mother and medical professionals.

Make decisions for you

A doula does not make decisions for clients or intervene in their clinical care. She provides informational and emotional support, while respecting a woman’s decisions.

Miscarriage Support

Includes all services outlined in the Birth Support Package listed above, with up to 5 hours of in-person labor support. Assistance will be provided in creating memories and keepsake items for your baby. Comfort Care Kits are provided free of charge to clients.

Speak to the staff on your behalf

I don't speak directly to clinical staff regarding matters where health care decisions are being made. You and your partner will speak on your own behalf. I will discuss your concerns with you and suggest options as well as encourage you to voice your opinions and questions with your care provider. I will also remind you if there is a departure from your Birth Vision.

Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience
