My Philosophy
My Story

I'm Kayanna Moreland-Law, a Seattle native, Christian, Certified and Licensed Medical Assistant with a passion to serve others. I am nurturing, patient, driven and I put my heart in all that I do. Hence why I decided to become a Doula. I love writing poetry, music, arts and being around friends and family. I am the eldest of two which developed motherly roles in me at an early age. I have completed my birth, postpartum and bereavement doula training through the Sisters in Loss Community hosted by Erica M. McAfee. My own losses started the spark of my doula journey. It may not end with me but I will be apart of the fight! Let's meet and greet and doula this thing out! As a Birth, Postpartum & Bereavement Doula, I provide support for birth, support for postpartum and support for bereavement. The birth of a baby at any gestational age is still a birth, you and your baby are worthy of love, support, and honor. Bereavement doula services are provided for all types of loss, without judgement. Facing the decision of duration of life in utero (DOLIU) can be the single most difficult decision a parent can face. I validate you. You are not alone. You can learn more about the many types of losses served through Stillbirthday, including ectopic pregnancy miscarriage, and stillbirth. As your doula, I am committed to providing you with non-medical support and advocacy before, during and after the birth of your baby. I will help you explore options for the birth of your baby, connecting you with resources and support. I will walk this journey alongside you, as you prepare for your baby's birth, welcome your baby on their birthday, create memories and keepsakes, and/or say farewell to your precious little one. My role is to enhance your birth experience by providing you with support.
